Our Ultrafiltration (UF) systems operate at lower pressures with higher flow rates than VA/EA technologies, featuring an optimized pumping design with enhanced crossflow for maximum uptime and minimal product loss.

Choose from two configurations:

  • Economic Semi-Automatic – Reliable manual-valve operation with pressure and low flow shutoff and batching.
  • PLC Recipe-Controlled – Programmable automation with intuitive recipe management, and manual valves for precise repeatable performance.

Pair seamlessly with our DARC-Pro column rack for smoke taint remediation, or with individual PAC/pH columns for taint removal, cold stabilization, or pH adjustment.

8” UF Membrane systems – Suffix VSA1

  • 316ss Piping and fittings with inlet sight glass
  • Alfa Laval butterfly valves, VNE ball valves
  • Y pre-filter – 180 microns (2&4 Vessel) #2 Bag style pre-filter – 150 microns (UF8-6)
  • Goulds Multistage feed pump – 3hp (2 & 4 Vessel) 5 HP (UF8-6)
  • Goulds Multistage high pressure pump – 7.5hp (2 & 4 Vessel) 15 HP (UF8-6)
  • STA Membrane elements standard – BPM optional
  • 2 x Pressure sensors with digital display (5x on UF8-6)
  • Pressure shut off on high permeate and high concentrate pressures
  • Magnetic flow meter on permeate line (2&4 Vessel) Magmeter on Feed (UF8-6)

  • 6 and 6 parallel membrane arrangement, can be run on just 6 to limit losses or to mix VPM/BPM/STA membranes.

NOTE: All systems include high-pressure shut-off, low-flow shut-off, and auto batch flow shut-off.  All flow rates shown are with standard STA elements. Resin column racks are skid-mounted, pre-packaged units including venturi and manifolds, and include 2 x PAC and 2 x ARC columns. Standalone columns are optional. DS – Duty/Stand-by. Equipment is designed for concentration, pHC, cold stab, and taint removal. Can operate at up to 580 psi. Can be used for VA reduction with VPM membranes at lower flow rates and will slowly heat wine (tank jacket required)
