HISTORY OF VA FILTRATION?The company was formed in South Africa in the late 1990's to address the need for volatile acidity removal from wine. After 2 years of successful operation in South Africa, the company spread it's wings and ventured into the USA. The company became fully operational in February of 2002 in the USA. During that same year VA Filtration was launched in Australia and now operates in Western and South Australia. In August of 2003, VA Filtration purchased Technoquip and now operates both mobile businesses out of its American Canyon facility under the name of VA Filtration USA. The company is involved in 6 main areas of mobile wine filtration i.e. Volatile acidity Reduction; Lo-Cross-Flo Microfiltration; Lees Filtration; Brett Removal (4EP & 4EG reduction); DES Removal and TCA/TBA removal. Our Sweetspotter system is unique to the wine industry in its ability to process small lots, including single barrels of wine for trial purposes prior to our full scale systems being used. Our latest offering for California is Smoke Taint Reduction. This process is designed for the reduction of the offending Guaiacol and other related compounds found in smoke tainted wine. All of our systems offered are also available for purchase as required. All systems are designed and manufactured in the USA.
